Exciting news for young basketball enthusiasts! Registration has officially begun for the East Hawaiʻi Jr. NBA/WNBA youth leagues, providing a fantastic opportunity for children to showcase their skills in various competitions this spring.
From now until January 26, aspiring players can sign up for the Novice Boys and Open Co-Ed Basketball leagues, which are gearing up for an action-packed season set to run from February 23 to May 14. These leagues cater to different age groups, with divisions available for players aged 8-10, 11-12, and 13-14, ensuring that every young athlete finds their perfect fit.
Participating in these leagues comes at a cost of $30 per player, which includes a stylish NBA or WNBA reversible jersey that they can proudly wear during games. Additionally, teams looking to register can do so for a fee of $160, making it easy for both individual players and entire teams to get involved.
To kick things off, a meeting for coaches and team representatives is scheduled for 5 p.m. on January 13 at Aunty Sally Kaleohano’s Lūʻau Hale, located at 799 Piʻilani St. This meeting will provide valuable information and an opportunity to connect with other coaches and team members.
