Unveiled at MWC 2026, this concept showcases a detachable dual-screen setup, a refreshing change from the rollable and foldable displays we've seen before. The ThinkBook Modular AI PC Concept features a 14-inch primary display and an equally sized secondary display that can be detached and used in various ways. This versatility is a welcome change, allowing users to adapt the laptop to their needs. But here's where it gets interesting: the secondary display can be attached to the laptop's top cover, creating a back-to-back display arrangement, perfect for presentations. But is this feature truly necessary, or just a gimmick?
The concept offers two other display modes: a dual-screen laptop mode and a portable monitor mode. In dual-screen mode, the keyboard can be removed, and the second display takes its place, doubling the workspace. The ThinkPad T14 and T14s will start shipping in Q2, priced at $1,799 and $1,899, respectively, while the ThinkTab X11 is expected in Q2, starting at $499. The ThinkPad X13 Detachable, with its focus on repairability, will begin shipping in Q3, priced at $1,999.
