Niamh Kavanagh, known for her powerful vocals and iconic Eurovision performances, is taking on a new challenge. She's stepping out of her comfort zone and into the world of ballroom dancing! Kavanagh, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland in 1993 with the heartfelt ballad "In Your Eyes," is now ready to showcase her moves on the dance floor.
"I'm thrilled and a little nervous," Kavanagh admits. "Stepping into the unknown is exciting, but it's also a bit daunting. I'm not a natural dancer, but I'm determined to give it my all and have some fun along the way!"
And this is the part most people miss: Kavanagh's journey on Dancing with the Stars is about more than just the dance moves. It's an opportunity for her to connect with a new audience and showcase her versatility as a performer.
"I've always been a fan of dance reality shows," she says. "Watching people grow and transform through the process is inspiring. I'm excited to see how my own journey unfolds and to learn from the incredible professionals on the show."

Dancing with the Stars, hosted by Jennifer Zamparelli and Laura Fox, will feature 12 well-known figures paired with professional dancers. Each week, they'll tackle a different dance genre, from the energetic Charleston to the sultry Salsa, with just seven days to perfect their routines.
The judges and the viewing public will score each performance, and at the end of the series, the winning couple will take home the glitter ball trophy.
